Northeast Denver

Northeast Denver is made up of around thirteen neighborhoods, many of which are among the oldest in the city. But there are also plenty of new developments in the area, particularly in the neighborhoods of Northfield and Green Valley Ranch.

Northeast Denver is bordered by Downtown to the west and Alameda Avenue to the south. North of the area is the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge where visitors can enjoy a host of activities. I-70 bisects the area, providing residents with easy access to the rest of the metro and beyond.

Northeast Denver is highly diverse, with a wealth of historic districts and landmarks standing alongside newer developments, including the The Shops at Northfield, an open air shopping center with a Macy’s Department Store, a cinema complex, and more than 80 shops and restaurants.

Other new commercial hubs in the area include Hangar 2 and Stanley Marketplace. Some neighborhoods have also recently undergone changes, such as Stapleton, which has been divided into two neighborhoods, Central Park and Northfield.

You’ll find a number of historic districts and landmarks in the neighborhoods of Montclair and Hale, as well as in South Park Hill and Northeast Park Hill.

In 2017, Montbello was named the hottest neighborhood in the country for having the fastest growing real estate market for the year.
